Queensland family owned and operated since 1940, McAfee Plastering and Spraying are a trusted team of solid plastering and fireproofing specialists with a broad wealth of knowledge spanning many decades of quality projects.
McAfee Plastering and Spraying proudly represents a fourth generation QLD owned and operated plastering and fireproofing company. Founded by Len McAfee Snr in 1940, our company's foundation grew from humble work, where Len Snr was contracted for all plastering needs on The Prince of Wales Hotel, The Hotel Mackay, The Australian Hotel and The Oriental Hotel.
His son Len McAfee took over in 1955 and grew the business to become the largest solid plastering company in QLD through the 1960s and early 1970s. Whilst under Len McAfee’s management, the McAfee Plastering team expanded to a team of up to 100 men and was the first contractor to use mechanical plastering pumps in QLD, which led to a new market of passive fire protection. We proudly applied 90% of all sprayed Vermiculite ceilings in South East Qld during the 1960’s and 1970’s. Our trusted team transferred our knowledge of spraying to fireproofing in the early 1980’s and have since completed most of the large Commercial projects in South East Queensland.
In 1996, Robert McAfee took over and led the family business to specialise in fireproofing. Under the management of Robert McAfee, McAfee Plastering has proudly broken multiple fireproofing application records in Australia.
